Building the Family Circle

We all like being part of a family—something larger than ourselves of which we can be part, a group we can count on to have our backs, or someone we can call when we need help. Connecting with others to build a family requires networking. As educators, we build our family by networking through professional development, advisory boards, and conference events. We also need to help our students build their professional networks, first with their peers and then beyond the classroom and after graduation. Come and explore ways to get your students connected. Bring your ideas to share with the group, and even make connections of your own!
