NISOD is seeking webinar facilitators for 2024 and invites you to submit a webinar proposal!

Benefits to Facilitating a Webinar

  • Amazing professional development opportunity.
  • Receive recognition for and feedback about your practice or program.
  • Expand your professional portfolio.
  • Be part of a dynamic community committed to student success.

Please review the following information before starting your application. Accepted webinars will be scheduled for Fall 2024 and beyond.

We welcome proposals on any topics related to teaching and learning in a community or technical college.

  • Amazing professional development opportunity.
  • Share with and learn from colleagues from around the world.
  • Expand your professional portfolio.
  • Be a part of an international conversation about best and promising teaching practices.
  • Webinar facilitators can receive a $50 registration discount to attend one of our Virtual Workshops or a $50 registration discount to attend our annual conference.

Proposals will be reviewed using the following criteria:

  • Does the proposal include learning objectives that are action-oriented, measurable, and student-focused?
  • Is the content relevant to the educational/training needs of community and technical college educators and their students?

If your webinar proposal is accepted, we will contact you to:

  • Confirm a date for the webinar.
  • Confirm a date to pre-record the webinar at least one month prior to the webinar date. (Note: The pre-recorded webinar must have 50-60 minutes of content. There is no need to build in Q&A since presenters participate in the streamed webinar by interacting with participants via Zoom’s chat feature.)

The following information is needed to complete the webinar application. You must complete the form all at once, so we recommend putting this information in a Word document and then transferring it over to the form once you have all the information needed.

  • Webinar title
  • Webinar description (200 words max)
  • A short description of your plans for audience participation and interaction.
  • At least three learning outcomes. For example, “By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to ….” Learning Outcomes – Cheat Sheet
  • Skill tags: Skill tags identify what skills recipients need to demonstrate or learn by the conclusion of the Learning Experience to receive their CEUs. There are no limitations to the number of skill tags that can be provided, but best practice is anywhere between 5-10 skill tags.
  • Names, job titles, organizations, email addresses, phone numbers, biographies and photos of all facilitators.
  • Five assessment questions with four possible answers, including one correct answer. All webinars must offer an exam or competency check. Assessments must be outcome-based and quantifiable because learners must pass an assessment to be eligible to receive CEUs.
