Groundbreaking Agreement Allows Complete Transfer of Macomb Community College Associate Degree in Business, IT, or Health to Purdue University Fort Wayne Bachelor Degree
Purdue University Fort Wayne and Macomb Community College signed an agreement that allows Macomb students to completely transfer their associate of applied science degree in the areas of business, IT, and health toward a bachelor of applied science degree from Purdue University Fort Wayne. Macomb students will able to transfer up to 88 credits toward their bachelor’s degree. While students will be required to complete a minimum of 32 credits through Purdue Fort Wayne, the coursework may be taken completely online.

Macomb Community College Designated as National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education
The National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) designated Macomb Community College as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Two-Year Education (CAE-CDE). Macomb is one of four Michigan community colleges that have earned the designation and among 100 institutions nationwide. The NSA and the DHS jointly sponsor the National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense program, which is designed to reduce vulnerability in the national information infrastructure by promoting higher education and research in cyber defense and developing professionals with cyber defense expertise.

Macomb Community College Awarded $1M by National Science Foundation to Support Workforce Needs of Automotive Industry
The National Science Foundation has announced the awarding of $1,050,000 to Macomb Community College’s Center for Advanced Automotive Technology to support the ability of industry and education to keep pace with fast-moving technological advances in the automotive sector.
