Selection Criteria and Submission Procedures

Selection criteria are left to the discretion of each institution. Only faculty, staff, and administrators at NISOD-member institutions are eligible. All individuals whose names are submitted by the deadline are recognized as NISOD Excellence Awards recipients once we receive verification from the president's office. Excellence Awards submissions can be made through our password-protected online system (opens in September). The password will be sent to all NISOD Liaisons. Contact Sheryl Powell if you do not know your password. After the names are received in the NISOD office, a confirmation email will be sent to the designated Excellence Awards contact person—within two weeks. If the contact does not receive notification from our office, please follow up to be sure that your submissions have been received. Each recipient will also receive a congratulatory letter and certificate.

How Are Excellence Awards Recipients Celebrated?

Since 1989, NISOD has been honored to recognize community and technical college faculty, administrators, and staff for their achievements and contributions to their institutions. The work of these men and women includes not only what they do for their campuses, but what they do for students and for the communities in which they live and work.
