NISOD Announces Second Regional Workshop

Austin, Texas, May 17, 2017– The National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) announced its second Regional Workshop, scheduled for October 13, 2017. The single-day workshop will take place at, and will be hosted by, Bergen Community College at the Meadowlands in Lyndhurst, New Jersey.

NISOD’s Regional Workshops bring professional development closer to faculty, administrators, and staff through intensive one-day gatherings held in strategic locations throughout the country.

The workshop, titled “The Generational Disruption of Community Colleges,” focuses on the challenges and opportunities each generation brings to higher education. Chuck Underwood, one of the half-dozen people who created the field of generational study and author of the most comprehensive book on generational strategies ever published, America’s Generation in the Workplace, Marketplace, and Living Room, will facilitate the workshop.

“This a tremendous opportunity for faculty, administrators, and staff to gain a deep understanding of the powerful influence generational values and generational attitudes are having on community college campuses,” said Edward J. Leach, NISOD’s Executive Director. “This topic is very timely given the growing need for community college educators to interact effectively with multiple generations, often at the same time.”
