NISOD Welcomes New Associate Director and Administrative Assistant

Austin, Texas, January 2, 2017 – NISOD is excited to announce two new additions to its team: Beth Helberg as Associate Director and Janice Hejl as Administrative Assistant.

Starting on January 9 as Associate Director, Beth will provide leadership, oversight, and direct management of NISOD staff, and will ensure the implementation and completion of NISOD initiatives and programs. With a background in strategic planning, relationship building, and conference management, Beth will help drive NISOD forward in its mission to support member colleges fulfill their commitment to teaching excellence and student success. Beth has served in a variety of positions prior to joining NISOD, including working for the Austin Board of REALTORS®, the American Payroll Association, and the National Educational Telecommunications Association. She earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in social media marketing from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri.

Janice, who joined NISOD as Administrative Assistant on January 2, will lead NISOD’s efforts in membership recruitment and satisfaction. She will also perform a variety of administrative and clerical functions in support of member colleges and NISOD staff. Janice’s customer-oriented attitude and organization skills will be assets to member colleges and NISOD staff. Previously, Janice held administrative positions at the Office of Executive Vice President and Provost at The University of Texas at Austin, as well as the Office of Executive Director at the Texas Union. She possesses a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas.
