Some of our member colleges have told us that they DISTRIBUTE Innovation Abstracts by:
- Posting a link on the Teaching and Learning Center website.
- Sending copies to faculty; administrators provide follow-up encouragement to read articles emphasizing a particular use or idea.
- Disseminating to faculty and other interested parties to improve teaching and advance related curriculum matters.
- Making it available to faculty in order to share best practices and stimulate discussion among faculty.
- Sending to full-time and adjunct faculty, as well as instructional administrators, as ways to adapt ideas to our college.
- Providing a link to department chairs and members of the professional development advisory committee.
- Supplying to all instructors (adjunct and full-time)—it is one of the few professional development items we provide for adjuncts.
- Making it available on an Intranet site and sending to individuals interested in the specific topic.
Some of our member colleges have told us that they UTILIZE Innovation Abstracts in the following ways:
- As a resource to provide faculty and staff with information on various topics in support of the college's mission to promote student success both in and out of the classroom.
- To encourage faculty to write up their innovative practices.
- To stimulate collegial discussions and offer best practices for improvements.
- Provide to new employees at orientation.
- To encourage faculty members to contribute articles to be published.
- As a resource for sharing ideas at brown bag discussions.
