Award Purpose…

The Amado M. Peña, Jr. Journey of Excellence Award recognizes and celebrates individuals who share their time, talent, gifts, and treasures to provide support and inspiration to students of all ages. Having these individuals share their life experiences with conference participants are special moments in NISOD’s annual celebration of teaching and leadership excellence. Mr. Peña is proud to play a pivotal role in showcasing and honoring individuals who contribute to unbroken circles of “giving back,” and who themselves have important stories to tell about individuals who have made critical differences in their own lives.
